Books for Lent 2012
I find some religious books really heavy going and often not especially inspiring, leaving me with feelings of inadequacy and failure at the ordinariness of my walk with God. Every now and again a book comes out which seems to speak of the "real world" with all its frustrations and questions and yet still is inspiring, and indeed encouraging.
The Bishop of Oxford, John Pritchard has written a number of books that I have found helpful and readable. Two recent ones I would thoroughly recommend to anyone who is looking for a challenging, yet really encouraging look at the Christian faith. These books have touched me deeply, and I intend to base our Lent Study course on "Living Jesus." More details to follow!
I will get copies for the church library. If you would like to get your own copy the details are available by clicking the follow titles:
