St.Margaret's Flower Team

Flowers have been used to decorate St. Margaret's for as long as anyone can remember and the tradition continues today. There are nearly 20 flower arrangers which is quite a big team - all of whom enjoy working with flowers but apart from one of the team no-one has any floristry qualifications. We just enjoy having the opportunity to arrange a wide range of flowers and greenery for 47 weeks of the year - not during Lent. We make a team effort for Christmas, Easter and Harvest and sometimes weddings, funerals and baptisms and on these occasions try to incorporate new ideas and different flowers.


Our biggest challenge in recent times was a special festival to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee in 2002. We welcome anyone - male or female - any age - to join us and share our delight in adding to the beauty and tranquillity of our village Church.
